In West Africa, Ebola has devastated communities. More than 22,000 people may have been infected, and more than 8,500 have died from the disease. Oxfam and our partners have worked to halt the spread of the disease, providing health centers with services like water and sanitation, and health workers with protective gear and trainings. We have engaged in a massive information outreach campaign to help people protect their families from the deadly epidemic, and have strengthened preparedness efforts in neighboring countries.
The crisis is far from over, and with economies shattered by the disaster, hard-hit countries face a difficult recovery. Oxfam will be there to help, but we need your support.
