After 11 days of bombardment, 400,000 people in the Gaza Strip do not have regular access to safe water. The bombing devastated electricity and water services, and severely affected the three main desalination plants in Gaza City.
Oxfam is on the ground in Gaza, working with partners to provide people with humanitarian aid like clean water, food, and other essential items like soap to survive the immediate impacts of this crisis. We are also preparing to fix water and wastewater systems that have been destroyed in the recent bombings. As we help Palestinians in Gaza to rebuild, Oxfam is also advocating for urgent political efforts to break the cycle of violence that is driving human rights violations, poverty, and suffering especially for a lost generation of Palestinian youth.
We must act immediately to support people affected by the violence. Your support is vital – donate now.
