A deadly Ebola outbreak is threatening communities across the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Uganda, South Sudan, and beyond. This strain has no available vaccine and carries a fatality rate up to 50%.
The DRC was already stretched to the breaking point after decades of conflict, displacement, and hunger. As many as 7.8 million people in the DRC are displaced and 26.5 million people face acute food insecurity. Now, the Ebola outbreak threatens even more lives.
In the DRC and other countries, Oxfam and partners are providing clean water, disinfectant, infrared thermometers, and public education to help break the chain of transmission and reduce the spread of the disease. But we need more resources — and more support from donors like you.
At this moment of critically depleted humanitarian funding, urgent action is needed to save lives. Rush a donation today to help power our lifesaving Ebola response.
